Small Groups

The youth absolutely love having time in small group. Every week their group meets giving highs and lows of their week and share how they can be praying over one another. Then they dive into the passage of John for the week. They learn so much during this time in a smaller group setting. Many small groups also do things together outside of Wednesday nights. We are very thankful and blessed for so many amazing, faithful small group leaders who volunteer their time.

We have been studying the book of John this year in youth group and we just read John 13, which is the story of Jesus washing His disciples’ feet. I knew that we should do this foot washing while the story of John 13 was fresh in the minds of the students. God blessed our church with a wonderful group of willing small-group leaders and plenty of adult volunteers who were willing to put something like this on. He provided everything we needed to make this vision from the Holy Spirit come to life.

The night was simply amazing. I struggle even now to put the experience into words. If I had to say just one sentence about it I would say, “What God is doing in our young people is too big for words.” If you want to know the layout of the night or the specific details of how we engaged the students in this activity stop me in the hallways of the church or give me a call and I would be more than happy to share with you.
